Our finest ostrich feather duster, with an extra large, dark ostrich feather head set upon a waxed beechwood pole handle, finished with a leather cuff and a leather loop for hanging. Measuring 110cm long, this exceptional, traditional feather duster will reach high ceilings, cornicing, light fittings, window frames, skylights and more, it will whip around the house quickly capturing dust removing it effectively and easily.

Regarded as the queen of feather dusters, ostrich feathers are constructed from long barbules from a central shaft, each tiny barbule formed with hooked barbicels, so that the feather is made up of mini feathers! Because of this complex, delicate, construction dust is not swept away but captured in the tiny fronds, ensuring it is removed easily and, thanks to the lightness of the feathers, without disturbing the items being dusted. For these reasons, ostrich feather dusters are particularly effective and were regarded historically as status symbols in private households.

Based on the season, the feathers of the ostriches may be larger or smaller, thicker or thinner.  We have no influence over these natural characteristics. For this reason, each feather duster will vary - however, this is what makes it unique. To guarantee a consistent quality standard, the feathers used in binding each duster are always kept at the same total weight
