Beautifully hand crafted using traditional, expert skills, our waxed olive wood hairbrush is entirely hand set with anti-static, maple wood pins and black, stiff, wild boar bristle to glide through thick long or short hair, removing tangles and stimulating the scalp. Measuring 20.5cm long, it has a shaped handle with thumb impress for comfortable use and, if treated with care, should last for many years.

The narrow, maple wood pins have a waxy, eco-friendly coating and rounded tips to ensure they are gentle on the scalp and for both coarse or fine hair. The pins are carefully embedded in the rubber base which prevents hair from becoming caught or tangled, thus preventing unecessary hair loss during brushing. In addition, unlike metal, the wooden pins do not retain heat during blow drying, protecting hair from additional excessive heat.

The wooden handle is particularly durable being crafted from slow growing olive wood, whilst the waxing and natural high oil content ensures it is also water repellent.

All our hairbrushes are hand crafted from natural materials. Choose the brush most suitable for your hair type and style:
Wooden pins and bristle will not absorb heat during blow drying and are especially good for long and thick hair; metal pins work well for thick, curly and long hair but may absorb heat during styling with a hairdryer.
Softer, light bristle is gentler for sensitive scalps and suits most hair types; stiffer, black boar bristle is good for long hair and thick hair but may be used for all hair types.
Generally, for longer or thicker hair a larger brush head and longer pins or bristles works best, but it is a matter of personal preference. We also offer gentler brushes for children and babies, plus a fibre brush for vegans.

Designed and developed by Redecker in Germany, quality brush manufacturers since 1935, most of our collection is manufactured at the Redecker workshops, although some items require specialist manufacturing processes in other parts of the world.
