These shaving brush handles are Made in Germany! Using Ash Wood from Europe, these handles were built with FSC Certified Wood.
What is FSC Certified Wood? It means it meets the "gold standard" of ethical production. The wood is harvested from forests that are responsibly managed, socially beneficial, environmentally conscious, and economically viable.
When bringing in a wood handle - I wanted to do it the right way, using the best possible wood I could source, with the proper ethical considerations. I hope you enjoy these handles as much as I do!
These handles are finished with Tung Oil for a durable water resistant finish. As with any oil-based finish, it will wear over time. While it won't comprise the integrity of the handle, it is recommended to re-oil the handle every 2-3 years to keep it looking like new.
Built to accommodate either 24mm or 26mm knots, depending on your preference. Loft can be customized to your liking, the hole is 17mm deep.
NOTE ABOUT THE FINISH: Since we're dealing with a natural wood product, the absorption of the finish may vary slightly by being lighter in some places and darker in others. If you think this will bother you, I'd recommend sticking with resin handles.
